Stay Calm and Assess the Situation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The first thing to do is remain calm. A lost filling is usually not a life-threatening emergency, but it should be addressed as soon as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Avoid Certain Foods<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Without a filling protecting the tooth, the exposed area may be sensitive to temperature changes and pressure. Try to avoid very hot, cold, sugary, or hard foods that could cause discomfort or further damage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chewing on the opposite side of your mouth may help prevent irritation and reduce the risk of fracturing the weakened tooth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
